We are delighted that Simon Liegl will take up a position as Assistant Professor at the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management starting August 2025.
Prof. Dr. Simon Liegl studied psychology at the University of Innsbruck, where he earned his Master’s degree in 2019. He began doctoral studies in psychology at the University of Innsbruck and, in parallel, in the field of economics – entrepreneurship and management – at the University of Liechtenstein. He gained extensive teaching experience as a tutor, teaching assistant, and lecturer at various universities in the areas of Organizational Behavior, Leadership, HRM, Entrepreneurship, as well as in quantitative and mixed-methods research methods.
His research interests lie in the areas of Organizational Behavior and leadership – particularly charismatic and digital leadership, emotional communication, affect, and self-leadership.
Simon Liegl has already been working as a postdoctoral researcher at IFPM-HSG since January 2025. Heike Bruch and the entire team extend their warm congratulations and look forward to continued collaboration.
